A rarely seen small flowering tree. The Fragrant Epaulette Tree is quite hardy and produces showy 5-10 inch-long creamy white pendulous flower panicles. Flower clusters are 2-3 inches wide and similar to wisteria panicles. It starts flowering at an early age when the tree reaches 7 or 8 feet in height. The foliage is clean and bright green with silvery underleaf. It generally flowers in late spring after many others have finished. Mature tree has a rounded top and width of 20-25ft. Also known as the Wisteria Tree.
