. Big, native to the Baja and Sonora deserts and planted widely in California, Arizona, Florida and elsewhere. Also know as Washington Palms. Mexican Fan Palms need plenty of sun and will tolerate dry soils and drought. It is fairly salt-resistant and fast-growing. An excellent urban planting for larger areas.
