One of the most widely planted native maples. Yellowish to red fall color. Fastest growing of the maples. Extremely adaptable. This makes a good choice when quick growth is desired or in areas where little else can succeed.

Silver Maple prefers full sun. Tolerant of a wide variety of soils. Heat and drought tolerant. Should be pruned from a young age to promote a single leader and strong limbs.
