A small North American native maple with brilliant golden yellow fall color. Smooth green bark with white stripes. Excellent landscape tree.

Striped Maple prefers partial or light shade and humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil. It is not tolerant of poor soils or drought. Should be pruned as needed to show off beautiful bark.

How To Start These Seeds:
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: Cold stratify for 120 days
Germination: Sow seed 1/8 inch deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
Other: Natural fall sowing in mulched beds
