Height: 40-70 feet (12-21 meters)
Spread: 10-15 feet (3-4.5 meters)
Leaf: 36 inches or longer (>91 cm)
Range: Not native to North America (USDA Hardiness Zones 10 through 11-
southern Florida, southern Arizona and southern coastal California.)
General Care Tips
Bismarck Palms tolerate both sunny and partially shady conditions,
although it grows fastest and has better leaf color in full sun. Trees
tolerate a variety of well-drained soils and are drought and salt
resistant. Prune sparingly. Avoid damaging lower trunk and roots. It is a
difficult tree to transplant.
Things to Watch For
Insect pests include scales. There are no major disease problems.
