Native to the Mediterranean and regions surrounding the Black Sea. Bears small purplish pea-like flowers in late spring and the leaves are slightly bluish green with rounded tips. Also known as a 'love tree'.

How To Start These Seeds:
Scarification: Soak in hot tap water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: None required
Germination: Sow 1/4 inch deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed, remove mulch upon germination
Other: Natural fall sowing in mulched beds
