Suitable for a variety of small birds; this roosting pocket will provide a cozy resting place (especially during long cold winter nights) away from predators, biting wind, cold, and storms. Their warmth helps birds to preserve body fat and aids in their survival. Position the roosting pocket in a protected area to increase its longevity and provide even more protection for your birds. Entrance hole is strategically located to help keep warm air up inside the shelter. Sometimes several birds will share the same roosting pocket; but put out as many as you can so more birds can find shelter in them. Facing the opening in a southerly position will help warm the box in late afternoon.
