Pine Chickadee Nesting House with Ventilation

Give chickadees a sheltered place to nest with this Pine Chickadee Nesting House. Built from sustainably sourced eastern pine, the house features a 1.125-inch entrance sized for chickadees while helping discourage larger birds and predators from entering.

The sloped roof helps protect the interior from rain, while ventilation slots near the top promote airflow. Drainage gaps at the corners of the floor help keep the nesting area dry, and the rough interior surface gives fledglings extra grip as they climb toward the entrance.

A side panel opens for seasonal cleaning and maintenance. The house includes a metal loop hanger and a predrilled mounting hole for installation on a tree, wall, or post. The natural pine will gradually weather to a gray tone with outdoor exposure.
