The 0.75-inch-thick pine construction provides a sturdy shelter, while the sloped, overhanging roof helps keep rain away from the entrance. Ventilation gaps beneath the roof promote airflow, and drainage openings at the corners of the base allow trapped moisture to escape.

A side panel can be unlatched and lifted for nest checks and seasonal cleaning. The flat back and attached mounting bracket allow installation against a wall, fence, or tree, while the base can also accommodate a separate mounting plate for pole installation.
