How Garden-Fos + Pentra-Bark Works

Garden-Fos contains mono- and di-potassium salts of phosphorous acid. Once absorbed by the tree, the active ingredient is transported through the plant's vascular system and supports the tree's natural defense mechanisms.

Pentra-Bark is formulated to help Garden-Fos penetrate the tree's bark. Together, they allow Garden-Fos to be applied directly to the trunk rather than requiring invasive trunk drilling or injection.

Trunk Application

When Garden-Fos and Pentra-Bark are used together, they are mixed as a concentrated trunk spray and applied around the tree's trunk.

• 50% Garden-Fos

• 2.5% Pentra-Bark by volume

The solution is sprayed around the complete circumference of the trunk, beginning approximately 6–9 feet above the ground and continuing downward to the ground, applying enough solution to reach saturation runoff.

When to Apply

Garden-Fos should be applied when the tree is actively growing and able to transport the treatment through its vascular system. Do not apply while the tree is dormant.
