The Atlas Cedar is a very beautiful specimen tree said to be unmatched by any conifer. Grey-green needles with pyramidal habit. As it matures it becomes irregular and flat-topped. Makes a great specimen tree on an open lawn or in large gardens or parks.
When choosing a location, keep in mind that the Atlas Cedar has a slow to moderate growth rate. It grows up to 60 feet in height and 30 to 40 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 6 to 9. This cedar prefers full sun to part shade and moist, well-drained, acidic soil. When in deep soil, drought and heat tolerant.
