The French Crabapple has beautiful white flowers and yellow fruit. This small tree has dense, twistng branches and dark brown cracked bark. The fruit is excellent for jams and jellies. Also known as Irish crab or European crab.
When choosing a location, keep in mind that the French Crabapple has a growth rate of 1 foot per year. Grows up 25 to 40 feet in height and 15 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 4 to 7. Prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil.
